Author Guidelines
Authors submitting to the Approximation, Models & Computation Journal (AMCJ) are expected
to follow the guidelines below to ensure clarity, consistency, and scientific quality.
Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned for revision prior
to peer review.
--------------------------------------
1. Manuscript Types
--------------------------------------
AMCJ accepts the following types of submissions:
• Original Research Articles
• Review Articles
• Short Communications (methodological notes)
All submissions must present significant mathematical or computational contributions.
--------------------------------------
2. Manuscript Structure
--------------------------------------
A standard manuscript should contain the following elements:
• Title
• Author names and affiliations
• Abstract (150–250 words)
• Keywords (4–8 terms)
• Introduction
• Related Works / Background
• Methods / Theoretical Framework
• Results and Discussion
• Conclusion
• Acknowledgments (optional)
• Funding Information (optional)
• Conflict of Interest Statement
• References
All sections must be written clearly and structured logically.
--------------------------------------
3. Formatting Requirements
--------------------------------------
• Manuscript must be written in English.
• Use a clear, academic writing style with correct grammar.
• Prepare the manuscript in a single-column format, using 11- or 12-point font.
• Equations must be typed using proper mathematical notation.
• Figures and tables must be clear, high quality, and properly labeled.
• Variables should be italicized; vectors and matrices should be bold.
• Length of the manuscript should generally be 8–20 pages.
--------------------------------------
4. Abstract and Keywords
--------------------------------------
• Abstract must summarize key objectives, methods, and findings.
• Avoid citations in the abstract.
• Provide 4–8 specific keywords relevant to approximation, modeling, or computation.
--------------------------------------
5. Mathematical and Computational Rigor
--------------------------------------
• Manuscripts must demonstrate substantial mathematical or computational innovation.
• Application-focused manuscripts without methodological contribution will not be considered.
• Provide proofs, derivations, or algorithmic details where appropriate.
• Numerical experiments must include error analysis, convergence studies, or performance evaluation.
--------------------------------------
6. Figures, Tables, and Algorithms
--------------------------------------
• Number all figures, tables, and algorithms consecutively.
• Captions must be descriptive and placed below figures / above tables.
• Algorithms should be formatted clearly using pseudo-code or algorithmic environments.
• Ensure permissions are obtained for previously published materials.
--------------------------------------
7. Citations and References
--------------------------------------
• Use a consistent citation style (APA, IEEE, or AMS).
• All references must be complete and verifiable.
• Prefer recent and relevant literature, including high-quality journals.
• Use DOI links where available.
Example formats:
Journal article:
Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Title. *Journal Name*, Volume(Issue), pages. https://doi.org/xx.xxxx/xxxx
Book:
Author, A. (Year). *Book Title*. Publisher.
Conference:
Author, A. (Year). Paper title. In *Conference Name*, pages.
--------------------------------------
8. Ethical Considerations
--------------------------------------
• Manuscripts must be original and not under review elsewhere.
• Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is strictly prohibited.
• All authors must approve the submitted version.
• Conflicts of interest must be declared.
--------------------------------------
9. Submission Preparation Checklist
--------------------------------------
Before submitting, authors must ensure that:
• The manuscript follows the AMCJ template.
• All figures and tables are properly embedded and cited.
• References are complete and follow the selected citation style.
• The manuscript has been proofread and checked for English quality.
• Ethical compliance statements are included.
--------------------------------------
10. Submission and Review Process
--------------------------------------
• Submissions are made through the AMCJ online submission system.
• All manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening for scope and quality.
• Accepted manuscripts proceed to double-blind peer review.
• Authors may be asked to revise their manuscript based on reviewer comments.
• Final acceptance is based on scientific merit and compliance with journal standards.
--------------------------------------
11. Copyright and Licensing
--------------------------------------
• Authors retain copyright of their work.
• By submitting, authors grant AMCJ the right to publish the article.
• The journal may adopt Creative Commons licensing (CC-BY or CC-BY-SA) depending on publication policy.
--------------------------------------
12. Article Processing Charges (APC)
--------------------------------------
• AMCJ may charge APCs depending on institutional policies.
• Waivers or reductions may be available for selected authors or regions.
